1948 Foundation and start of the series production of large format slides for the commercials in movie theaters
   
1958 Start of the development and production of self-designed devices that could duplicate miniature film slides (format 24 x 36mm) in high quality and large quantities
   
1975 Began in microfilming at the zenith of the miniature film slide production (30 million slides per year). H+K becomes provider of a process for high-quality rendition of black and white half-tones and colors on microfiche (microfiche films format A6)
   
1979 Start of production of a series of very modern, electronically controlled and versatile microfiche cameras
   
1983 Start-up of a film developing machine for 105 mm micrographic film with long-term stability — built in-house
   
1987 Construction of the first computer controlled roll-film camera for 16mm and 35mm film. Construction of the patented book cradle permitting the gentle screening of valuable historical books
   
1988 Series production of further micro film cameras for leasing or for sale
   
1994 Start-up of a converter camera that enables the conversion of 16mm and 35mm roll film on microfiche A6. Installation of a graphics COM-device for exposure of computer data line and half-tone display on micro film
   
1995 Extension of product range with the hybrid system. Safety film and digital storage media offer the combination of unsurpassed long-term stability with comfortable electronic access
   
1996 Construction of a 35mm double track camera for creation of two identical original images per image position as preservation and printing master. Due to this efficient technology templates do not have to be filmed twice as there is no color loss with the printing master
   
1997 Start-up of a special digital camera based on our camera technology with very high resolution for color and BW, others followed
   
1998 50 year anniversary of Herrmann & Kraemer, technology changes — quality remains
   
2000 Start-up of a third computer-controlled A6 macro camera that permits the imaging of plans and maps in formats up to 2 x A0 = 120 x 170 cm in BW and color
